Apparently I am required to post here to keep my account from being deleted. I have nothing else to say right now; my previous entry still applies: http://www.xanga.com/Ree/603659275/exit.html
Heads up! I'm not going to crosspost to Xanga anymore. The automatic crossposter I used stopped working some time ago. I haven't dug up any other crossposters that work for all the APIs I need. I've been manually copy-pasting since then, but it's way too tedious.
So I'll detail some ways you can keep reading my blog entries. If you don't follow up any of them, then this is The End, because my Xanga is getting zero updates after this.
The blogs I can still crosspost to are my Tabulas and my Livejournal. Both of these have a friends' page, similar to the Xanga subscriptions page. If you have an email subscription and would prefer to keep getting my entries in your email, go here and enter your email address.
Both blogs have syndication feeds. Tabulas has RSS and LJ has the Atom option. Both of these feeds can be added to your My Yahoo, Google, or other customisable homepages. They will display a list of my most recent entries each time you view your page.
Personally, I think you should take this opportunity to register at Bloglines, a web-based RSS and Atom aggregator. It's like Xanga subs or an LJ friends page, except it's for the entire Internet -- all the 'net that offers RSS feeds, anyway. It is awesome and I check it more often than my email precisely because it is awesome. You can do email subs in Bloglines, too. Rock.
Goodbye, my Xanga, and thanks for all the... um... no, actually, I'm feeling pretty ungrateful at the moment. So never mind.
My mother was just organising her garage and found something of mine: half a sewing needle, blackened, taped to a tongue depressor. It spent a month in my foot.
That was not a fun month.
A doctor removed it fourteen years ago. Exactly. How bizarre.
RULES: Each player of this game starts off with 8 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 8 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 8 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs. (Tagging can go bye kthx.)
1. My ankle has an "eye" -- a nifty juxtaposition of a mole and a curved scar. Together they quite resemble a "bird's eye".
2. I wiggle my toes when I'm awake but very sleepy. I never knew this until I shared a house with kittens. Claws in toes will wake you up right quick!
3. When I was a schoolkid, I absolutely hated creative writing assignments because I never knew where to begin. I've done a 180 since then.
4. Without corrective lenses, not only can I not read a standard eye chart, I can't even see the E at the top.
5. I like toads. I think they're oddly cute.
6. Occasionally I pick a horrible television show to follow out of sheer schadenfreude. Currently it's Painkiller Jane, which is still a step up from the rather horrible TV movie version.
7. I eat white rice for breakfast more days than not. It tastes better than dry cereal and it easy to prepare in my little rice cooker.
8. Bugs bite people, but they devour me. Many's the summer I went leopard-spotted from mosquito bites. When I say "spotted" I mean that one leg, between ankle and knee, had at least three dozen inflamed bites. That says nothing of the bites on my feet, arms, back, scalp, and even buttock -- which could only have been bitten through several layers of denim. I am bug candy.
